9 month wellness visit

Oliver has to be the cutest little boy in the world... He had his 9 month check up today. While we were waiting for the doctor to come into the room Oliver decided to start giving the mirror kisses...and lots of them.  So when the doctor walked in Oliver was slobbering all over the mirror.  It was priceless.  He is so much fun,!  He plays nonstop and is a complete spitfire.  If you take away a toy- he will throw a fit.  I can't take him seriously though- he's just too cute.  He can pull himself up on everything... He understands, although doesn't listen, when I say no...Each day he does something new and is growing up too fast.

He weighs 19.13 lbs (30%) and is 29.25 inches long (70%).  Doctor said that we can quit giving him bottles (he doesn't really want them any more) and just give him the sippy cup.  It almost makes me sad to think about him advancing to this next milestone.

The next time we have a wellness visit he will be 1 year old!  I can't believe I'll be planning his first birthday soon...

Good times at Grandma's

We try to spend at least one day a week over at grandma and grandpa's house... Oliver just adores them both and lights up when he sees them.  Lately he has been quite intrigued by the fireplace!  Here are some pictures we've taken while visiting....

Oliver loves music and especially when dad is making it, singing it, or playing it.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Oliver ate a little of everything and did a good job of feeding Chloe too.  =)

Oh, the places he'll go!

Oliver is pulling himself up and holding on to things while standing all.the.time now.... It's adorable!  He seems so grown up now.  This does mean he is finding more & more things that he shouldn't.  He loves trying to get into any cabinet, knock over the trash can in the bathroom, open & close the doors, climb up mom & dad, and use Chloe to pull himself up and hold on to.  He has also decided to make bath time quite difficult- he wants to stand up in the tub which usually results in him slipping and hitting his poor head.  He doesn't cry but rather gets up and does it all over again!  Oh geez, I think we're in trouble with this little guy.

He is also saying ba ba, ma ma, and da da regularly.  He is super silly and loves jumping up & giggling for no apparent reason.  He plays hide and seek and gets really excited when he "hides" behind the chair.

He LOVES books....He is always reading them and turning the pages...over & over again.  His favorite book is Goodnight Moon.  He points to the red balloon in each picture.

He eats just about anything we eat... chicken when we eat mexican, beef stew, pulled pork sandwiches, black beans, rice, all veggies, most fruits, oatmeal, crackers, bread, and loves water out of the bottle.

We just adore our little man.  He is such a joy to be around.

Mama/baby craft event

On November 13, a group of us mama's and our kiddos got together to make some Christmas crafts.  We had a blast, the kids all played well together, and we all made some cute crafts.

*these pics are not very good as my camera settings were not set up correctly.

My little man is 9 months already!

Time is flying!  Oliver giggles, laughs, cuddles, babbles, claps, pulls himself up, crawls everywhere (and fast too)....Each day we fall more & more in love with our little man.  We adore him.  We are amazed with his capabilities.  He is 9 months old now and so full of life.  His 4th tooth has popped through.  He loves finger foods and table foods...He eats just about anything we eat...although tomatoes did give him a good rash so we'll stay away from those for now.  He loves beef stew and cottage cheese.  He also loves his veggies and bananas!

He has gotten his 4th (or possibly 5th)  ear infection which pretty much happens every time he gets a cold.  It's so frustrating and sad.  I hate seeing him in pain...I'm afraid the ENT is our next stop.  They say that kids in daycare will get something like 12-20 colds the first year...No fun!  I guess the positive side of this is that his immune system will be quite strong by the time he starts school.  =)

Here are some pictures of our little man!

Dinner & playgroup

I recently got a new phone that takes really great pictures!  It also has the ability to take funky pictures too.  Here are some of my favorite over the last month!

Here are the kiddos at one of our playgroups!
